Thinking about making changes to your health, boosting energy levels, or reaching your weight goals?

Updated: Jan 14

A nutritionist only deals with weight loss, right?

When I mention I’m a nutritionist, the usual response is, “I don’t need to lose weight,” or “Yes, I could do with losing a few kilos.”

That's understandable — weight loss is often top of mind, but nutrition can do much more than help you shed kilos. It can support your weight goals, improve digestion, boost energy levels, and strengthen overall health. What you eat and drink provides the essential building blocks your body needs to function well, alongside other important pieces of the puzzle, such as sleep, movement, and stress management.

So, what does a nutritionist actually do?

Do you only deal with weight loss?  No.

Can you help with weight loss?  Yes.

Do you count calories?  No

(while tracking calories can work in certain situations, it’s not my automatic starting point for sustainable weight management)

So how does it work if we’re not counting calories?

First, I listen to your concerns. Then we look together at your lifestyle, medical history, personal situation, and diet. We start with your main reason for coming and focus on the areas where realistic, practical changes can make a meaningful difference —

guiding you to make the right choices and helping you decide what to improve, adjust, or gently let go of.

Eating less or counting calories isn’t always the answer. Making targeted, achievable changes can boost energy, improve body composition and sleep, and yes, support weight loss — often leaving you feeling more active, focused, and like yourself.

Think: Quality over Quantity

My aim is to give you practical tools for lasting change and to support you in feeling confident and empowered along the way.
